Managing 3D geospatial data with respect to BIM/IFC and LADM
Convenors: Alias Abdul Rahman, Ainn Zamzuri and Hanis Rashidan
Synopsis
This tutorial focuses on 3D spatial data, BIM/IFC format and the LADM international standard. It has been part of the geoinformation in enhancing especially the 3D component of the objects. 3D geoinformation will be described in relation to BIM/IFC data thus, the incorporation of the two domains would be better for the management of the objects and making 3D data especially buildings more useful in several applications like 3D city planning and the like. Several use cases will be highlighted. Spatial data modelling with international standard LADM is also part of the lesson where various spatial data related to GIS and land administration both 2D and 3D become part of the discussions. We also intend to highlight the next research and development agenda within this BIM/IFC and LADM domains.

Marine Cadastre Measurement Modelling and Management
Convenors: Muhammad Irnzan Hassan
Synopsis
The development of a 3D marine cadastre represents a significant advancement in the management and governance of marine resources, particularly in terms of measurement and data modeling. Leveraging the Land Administration Domain Model (LADM), this approach provides a structured framework for integrating spatial and legal information about maritime boundaries, rights, and responsibilities in a three-dimensional context. By employing LADM, stakeholders can effectively capture and represent complex marine environments, ownership, and usage rights. Ultimately, the integration of 3D marine cadastre with LADM enhances decision-making processes, promotes sustainable resource management, and supports compliance with international maritime regulations.

Integrated Geospatial Techniques for Defect Detection in Concrete Structures
Convenors: Abdul Wahid Rasib & Khairulnizam M.ldris
Synopsis
The application of geospatial technologies for detecting and analyzing defects in concrete structures, focusing on multispectral and thermal imaging, as well as 3D scanning techniques. Integration of these advanced scanning technologies enables comprehensive structural analysis, including the detection of internal cracks and water intrusion. This methodology provides a robust tool for monitoring concrete structures, contributing to more effective and sustainable management of infrastructure by enabling precise identification of cracks and defects, thereby enhancing long-term resilience
